Ce restaurateur peu scrupuleux attire sa clientèle (touristique et locale) en affichant des tarifs à l'extérieur qui sont MOINS CHERS que ceux indiqués dans le menu qui nous est présenté une fois assis à table. (1 dollar DE PLUS par plat dans le menu comparé à l'affiche à l'extérieur). Nous leur avons fait la remarque en août 2013 lors de notre visite, mais ça ne les a pas dérangé de continuer la pratique. C'est de la publicité mensongère. Ils se sont moqués de nous en nous redonnant "1,35" cash... C'est se foutre du monde !

I have gone to this restaurant a number of times and perhaps you can say a regular customer .....the pizza is excellent along with the different sauces and pasta`s etc . The secret to a good pizza is the dough, thin and light... In montreal their are only two or three pizza restaurants that compare ...( pizza napolitana, la bottega and cafe international.. fornarina too) all in little italy area but hands down the best pizza in the laurentian area along with his pasta's ..family syle run restaurant ..We have been consistently well served and truely enjoyed our meals ..very authentic italian cuisine from the chef owner at very reasonable prices ....definitely a restaurant that we keep going too which is in a very beautiful area ( st agathe) next to a beautiful lake etcc....

P. S. I read the previous comment and pizza napolitana does not come with tomatoes !!! , just tomatoe sauce, cheese and basilico in any good italian pizza restaurant ...( just for your info :) ) the rest of that comment sounded unbelievable and surprising....anyways i would recommend this restaurant ...just try the pizza ..delicious !! ciao

Horrible, horrible experience. Here's the story: This sunny Sunday October 9, 2011, we - a group of 9 - entered this Il Vigneto restaurant and sat on the terrace, placed our orders. I ordered pizza Napolitana, in the menu it read (in French): Tomate, Fromage (Tomato, cheese). The waitress, a young lady, brought our orders and I received a pizza just with cheese. Asked the waitress where are the tomatoes and she replied without a winch that I ordered only cheese (which was a straight lie as I didn't say how I want the pizza). Anyway she said that the menu reads only Cheese, no tomatoes. So I asked to see the menu again. She brought the menu and there it was written: Napolitana (Tomate, Fromage). Pointing this to the waitress, she said it simply means tomato sauce!!! I tried to stand my point, very politely, that Tomate means there should be tomatoes on the pizza. The waitress said that I should go in and tell that to the Chef not to her as she will do nothing about it; then she ignored me and continued to serve my table mates. She became rude and angry and very vocal. After she entered back inside I followed in, went to the back of the resto where all the staff was (it was still customer-accessible just in the back) and asked to speak with the manager. The same waitress jumped and said furiously "I am the manager!" so I demanded to have my pizza as indicated in the menu, with tomatoes. The waitress raised her voice and demanded that I leave the restaurant immediately! I couldn't believe what I'm hearing and said Hey I'm the customer here and I deserve fair service, so she said that they won't serve me and repeated her demand that I leave the place. At that point a burley man rushed out of the kitchen, leaped at me shouting and pushed me violently. He grabbed forcefully the menu from my hands, and continued to push me kicking and hitting me and yelling that I leave the place. I tried to resist the constant pushing and violence but of course was very careful not to use any force and not hit the man in order not to turn from a victim to an attacker - my wife and friends were all seated outside totally unaware of the mayhem inside and could not witness that I've been attacked physically and verbally, while all the staff were clearly not on my side and the clients inside could not (or rather preferred not to intervene as they were clearly too cowardice to stand up) understand what's going on with the violence unraveling in front of them. I told my attacker that I'll call the police but he continued to push and hit my arms and body and made a movement to hit me in the face with is feast but probably realized in the last second that it will do him more harm than good to leave any mark on my face...
Unable - and unwilling - to resort to violence, I was pushed out of the restaurant. My mates were already eating and among them was an elderly lady and I could not expect them to leave the place. I called immediately the police and the Surete du Quebec arrived at the scene about 10 minutes later. That was a nice policewoman who patiently heard my account at a parking lot across the corner, and said that I have two choices: one, to file an official criminal complaint that will lead to a criminal investigation and a case in the regional court in the town of Saint-Jerome, with lawyers and all the broohaha of a court case in front of a judge, testimonies etc. The second possibility is that she will enter the restaurant to warn the attacker, then register the case in the police records, it will be filed properly and if anytime in the future anyone else will lodge a similar complaint against that place or person they'll use my case to lodge criminal proceedings against my attacker. Seeing that I had no one that could stand up and testify in my favor among the customers and probably not from the staff, I decided to go for the second possibility and asked the policewoman to warn my attacker and to write the internal police report for the files.
So that's my story. If anyone still wants to enter this restaurant, do it at your own risk.

Je ne partage pas ton avis Nancy R sur ce restaurant. J'ai travailler à cette endroit et le patron qui travail tous les jours n'est pas très aimable avec les employer, il fume pendant qu'il prépare la nourriture et prend quelques fois, mais c'est plutôt rare, du vin pendant qu'il travail. Question gastronomique, oui c'est exellent, mais question hygiène... je déconseille fortement.
